Twenty-sevenprojects,ranked.

Ranked rather than gridded, because a prize at Cambridge and a website for a retreat centre are not peers. The first five are worth reading in full; the rest is an index.

The five worth reading in full

    CasePulse

A case-theory stress test for litigators. Every allegation in a pleading mapped against the evidence bundle — supported, contradicted, gap, unaddressed — and every finding sourced back to the verbatim line. Modelling the dispute as a graph made weak claims and contradiction clusters visible where flat retrieval misses them. The judge abstains below its confidence threshold rather than guessing. On the challenge’s synthetic demo bundle it scored the pleaded case 28/100 and found 8 of 13 allegations contradicted by the claimant’s own evidence. Built with three others over a weekend; I handled the engine.

    PixelRiot

Europe’s largest generative-AI hackathon. I built and ran registration, the submission pipeline, automated mail and the public site, and coordinated $600k+ in API credits across the tool partners. The November 2025 edition opened at the American Film Festival in Wrocław; the 2026 Vienna edition is in preparation.

    Cross-attention for autism diagnosis

Bidirectional cross-attention between fMRI and sMRI for Autism Spectrum Disorder classification, across 871 ABIDE subjects and eleven Transformer architectures exploring different tokenisation strategies. Cross-attention reached 69.9% against a 63.5% single-modality baseline. The thesis spends as long on evaluation-methodology gaps in neuroimaging as it does on that result.

  4. 04

    HyperGnome

An open-source GNOME Shell extension bringing Hyprland-style dwindle (BSP) tiling to GNOME. Per-workspace window trees, animated focus borders, configurable gaps, and a native Gtk preferences UI, with GSettings schemas and keybinding conflict detection. One codebase covers GNOME 46–49 on both Wayland and X11. Sole maintainer.

    GenSnitch

Right-click any image and ask whether it was AI-generated. Reads Content Credentials, provenance signals and the metadata patterns generative tools leave behind — entirely in the browser — then produces a shareable report with JSON export. Deliberately honest about the answer: no evidence found is not the same as real.

Research

Academic and applied studies

  1. 01

Exploring potential of Chatbots for Local Governments

A study of whether chatbots can improve communication between local governments and citizens, run in Warsaw. I built the platform and co-authored the internal report; it ends in guidelines rather than a product.

  2. 02

    Doxastic Logic Research Paper

Academic paper exploring doxastic logic (the logic of belief) as part of an Honours course on Formal Logic for AI. Examined the formalization of belief systems, epistemic logic connections, and applications in artificial intelligence reasoning.

Tools & experiments

Hackathon builds and side projects

  1. 01

    realpls.com - Image Authenticity Checker

A minimal, privacy-first web tool for quick image authenticity checks. Drop a photo to get a simple "forensics report" with metadata inspection and lightweight visual/pixel checks (e.g., compression/artifact hints and optional overlays). Everything runs locally in the browser. Deployed on Cloudflare Pages.

    2025–
  2. 02

    EU AI Act Compliance Checker

First place at the Legal Frontier Hackathon, built with a team. A tool that analyses a GitHub repository and reports where the codebase stands against the EU AI Act, turning a dense piece of regulation into concrete, per-repository findings. Next.js front-end with an n8n workflow backend driving the analysis.

  3. 03

    Oratoria - AI Conversation Trainer

Built for the ElevenLabs hackathon: practise a difficult conversation against a voice agent and get feedback afterwards.

    2025
  4. 04

DesignAI - AI-Powered Graphic Design Tool

An AI-assisted tool for posters and social posts — Cursor’s editing model pointed at CSS instead of code. A prototype, not a product.

  5. 05

Bad GPT - AI Chatbot Platform

When ChatGPT first appeared I jailbroke it as a joke and wrapped the result in a platform — chatbots programmed to behave badly, with accounts, credits and payments. Long since offline, and someone else has taken the domain.

Built with Quartz and published at notes.swasilewski.com so the notes are useful to other students, not just to me.
